Practice.....

Here i have created a practice to show how i might set out a magazine. I have colour co-ordinated the front cover from what clothes Frankie is wearing. This is what i want to do with my front cover. i want to colour co-ordinate the clothes Tom is wearing in my proper magazine shoot with the lettering and font of my magazine cover.

Feedback 6/12/10

During production work - don't forget to post your progress ( with pictures of you working if you can) on here weekly.

Layout your pages and book your studio time for the week and the cameras for the weekend for your location shoots.

Feedback 30/11/10

A good start Calum! - but a bit more to do for your research- make sure your posts are detailed in their analysis - are you doing this for homework?

Include some good detailed analysis of your preliminary task - strengths and weaknesses and what you will imporve in your final music magazine.
Research to be done :

- Needs to be good detailed focus on audience research - outline your target audience ( using demographic and psychographic profiling - see your first pack)- Look on the uk tribes website and post some videos on your blog - http://www.uktribes.com/ (password = iblametheparents)
- 10 target audience questionnaires with feedback - graphs and charts to be put on your blog too.

- Genre: Look and analyse the conventions of the music genre/s that you will focus upon in the magazine - post some music videos (from youtube) on your blog that illustrate the kinds of artists that you would have in your magazine.

- Institution: who will publish your magazine - see the foundation portfolio blog - for links to companies

THEN you can move onto your planning - see the before you blog sheet for what planning needs to be done - this should be being done in class AND for homework at the moment!
